So, I did a lot of research before and after getting GiGi and CoCo. I thought at first that I was feeding them correctly. I feed them fresh Timothy hay daily, and Sunseed Sunscription pellets. I was offering them a lot of Romaine lettuce more than once a day. They did not like any peppers at first, and barely touched anything else I tried. After a few days they warmed up to the food. I did more research last week on what and how much to feed them, but I'm getting overwhelmed with information. Every site i visit says different things, and it's contradictory. I know now that I was over feeding them. But here is an example of what I have offered the past few days. Please tell me if I'm on the right track!
Day 1 Morning: red pepper slice, banana slice
night: 1 whole green bean, 2 small blueberries, dandelion greens
Day 2 Morning: 1/2 slice yellow and red pepper, 6 stems parsley
night: one leaf collard greens (they hated this), 1 baby carrot
Day 3 Morning: yellow pepper slice, handful mixed greens
night: one floret broccoli, 1 whole green bean
Day 4 Morning: slice red pepper, 1 baby carrot
night: 6 stems parsley
Day 5 Morning: slice yellow pepper
night: 3 small blueberries, slice red pepper
Day 6 Morning: slice red pepper, 1/4 stalk celery
night: 5 stems parsley, 1 whole green bean
Day 7 Morning: small apple slice, slice yellow pepper
night: 1 leaf red leaf lettuce, slice green pepper
Please remember my piggys are in separate cages, so they eat this separate, but each get the same foods. Am I doing this ok? I don't want to over or underfeed them!
