Hi all! I'm new to this so please excuse me if I do anything wrong.
I have two beautiful girl guinea pigs called bubble and squeak One is long haired Black and White and one is short haired brown,White and black.
I got them at about 4 months their 5 months now.
Only had them for a month and their my babies!
I clean them out twice a week with fresh hay in a hay
Rack everyday with fresh vegetables every day.
Bubble is the long haired one and squeak is the short haired one.
Squeak never stop squeaking! me And my partner always spend about 30 mins every night just watching them! Being very loud but so cute!
They both constantly run around jumping and bucking!
squeak is the boss, and bubble follows her.
They seem so happy running in and out of their tunnel!
squeak never stop squeaking. Is this Normal?
Bubble squeaks but not not as much as squeak? ( very confusing with names I know).
I try Handel them every day. But recently just damaged my shoulder so catching them is very hard! Bubble just sits on me and enjoys her cuddles.
Shell snuggle around my neck and just sit there. She is very easy to catch.
Tho squeak on the other hand is very hard to catch. I'll give her a cuddle when I get her and stroke her but she keeps biting!
A very sharp bite that can draw blood.
I do everything to try calm her down.
I no guniea pigs never bite but squeak always seems to bite me!
I was just wondering if anyone has any idea why?
She doesn't shatter her teeth at me. But she does squeak a Lot inside the cage and out.
Also when do * think is a good time to put then outside?
Thank you very much for reading this awefully long message.

As far as the biting goes, shes probably terrified (we are very scary us big humans) So if you slip her into a little cosey, or wrap her in a towel she should feel much safer (and it protects your hands too) Untill she gets used to you.
:)

Hi and welcome to you, Bubble and Squeak to the forum :)
It sounds like you have two very happy wheeeky pigglies! Their squeaks are them communicating to each other and telling you what they want......usually if you shake a bag they'll wheek at you cause they think it's food :))
Have a look thru all our stickies/threads up the top of each section, these will help you....and please feel welcome to ask questions at anytime.
Piggies will bite if they're scared....or they smell food on you!
As for going outside you need to wait till the weather is not damp or cold. An outside run needs to be very secure as dogs/cats/foxes can dig under them and also have a heavy enough lid. You could move the run around your back yard, make sure no spikey weeds or anything tho, and they'll happily 'mow' your grass for you! Have some hidey's inside as well so they can feel safe.
HOpe you pop some pigtures on soon of Bubble and Squeak everyone loves them on here.......whee have a stories/photos section for them.

Glynis, Velvet and Onyx x
