Underweight? Overweight?

I'm so very confused! my littest pig, Jaffa cake, is only 440g! shes between 4-8 months old I think(not entirely sure as she was a piggy I rescued) all my others where around 600g at this time, she has unlimited hay and pellets(which I only give unlimited pellets to babies as I find with my adults they wont eat there hay if they have pellets they could eat instead) do you think she is underweight? she is a tiny little pig, I can fit her in one hand and she is 1/4 of the size of my adult female.. opinions? (ive included some photos of her down below but because she is rather fluffy you really cant tell how small she is.. she is a alone guinea pig but that is because she was attacked by her cage mate, batter wounds also pictured) thanks x

What a little cutie! Not all piggies grow at the same rate or to the same size. It won't help stuffing your little one with food. As long you keep it in on a good balanced diet like we recommend and it is well in itself (check for the heft around the ribs like described in the link below), then it will reach its genetically determined adult weight and size in due time. This is likely going to be at the lower end of the spectrum, but even a small piggy around 600g adult weight can have a happy and normal life.

If it is any consolation to you, my Papi was only 450g when she arrived here at 6 months old in 2013; she and her cousin Pili Pala were part of a rescue from surroundings that the rescue lady described as "every bit as bad as they come". As an adult in her prime, Papi is now nicely over 900g, but her weight has been creeping up only very very slowly.
