I want to say a sad farewell to one of my boars, Arthur. He unexpectedly passed away this morning showing very few signs anything was wrong. He was eating fine yesterday but breathing heavily this morning when I fed them their nuggets and I checked on him an hour later and he was moving about so I though I’d been imagining it. I checked him again half an hour later and he had passed away. He would have been three on 1 May so he went well before his time. Tonight I have missed him wheeking for his veg, and Vlad, his cage mate, is looking lonely. Arthur was a laid back boar who loved his time out on the grass through the summer, it was a joy to watch him popcorning in the run!
Good night my big boy, I will miss you. Popcorn high over the rainbow bridge.🌈

So sorry for your loss. Be kind to yourself as you grieve.

I’m so sorry you have lost Arthur so suddenly, sending you big hugs x
Sleep tight Arthur 🌈

So sorry for your loss. Popcorn free across the rainbow bridge handsome boy.💕🌈🐾

What a terrible shock for you, I am sorry you had to say goodbye so suddenly, the rainbow bridge has been very busy this week. He would have known you loved him in the time he had with you and will take that with him. Sending hugs to you and Vlad as you grieve. Sleep tight Arthur x 🌈

Thank you for your kind thoughts. I know we all go through it - several times if we have a few pigs - but it never gets any easier.
We lost Broly 3yrs ago today.
Very sudden and unexpected, just like with your Arthur, Broly was fine, eating his hay and running around, minutes later, he is breathing slow and heavy through his mouth, we rushed him to an emergency vet hospital where he passed 12hrs later. They couldn’t confirm, but they’re 95% positive he got a sinus infection which quickly traveled to his stomach.

Popcorn freely Arthur! Say hi to Broly for me.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s been a busy time at the Rainbow Bridge for our forum piggies. Sleep tight, Arthur. Big hugs xx

Sorry for your loss, thinking of you and may Arthur sleep tight x
