I went out to put Kevin and Perry in their run this evening when I got home from work, it has a covered end so as usual I opened the door to pick up the poop from last time and check whether more hay was needed before I put them in...I was surprised to find a squatter had moved in!
I regularly clear earwigs out of the run but never imagined I would find anything bigger. With some gentle encouragement from a dustpan I eventually evicted him/her and it climbed out through the cage end, ignoring the door that I'd left open for it 😀

I would have jumped out of my skin 😅
I would have jumped if it had hopped as I opened the door! I think it was having a snooze, it didn't really want to leave, but I wanted to put the piggies out so I had to move it on.

We get toads in our yard all the time ... we have to double check any potted plant that might need to come in to make sure it doesn't have any hitchhikers, as they love nestling into moist soil.
I bet the run was appealing because it was probably a but cooler with the covering and had the best grass to nestle in.

I love finding tree frogs in the yard! 😄 My sister once was surprised to find a Green Tree Frog in the loo! We then released it outside and also took a few photos.
It had the funniest pose!

I've certainly considered it, but unfortunately amphibians have special needs in which I can't meet. 😞
There are many Tree Frogs in the yard that I can admire though. 🥰
