Sorry if I'm posting this thread in the wrong section but I don't know where else to ask this question.
This afternoon, I found an odd looking ball in my piggy's cage. It looks like it's made of poop, but also has white in it. I'm worried, is this a health issue? 😟 Any ideas what this thing is?

Do you have boys or girls? My boys very occasionally have this. I think comes out of the ā€œpouchā€ that produces the poops they can eat. It’s very very smelly and greasy. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about. But if you are worried about them or it’s happening a lot get them checked out. I think it comes out after they have been scent marking. Ie rubbing their ā€œbitsā€ on the floor. lol.

Gross, but I guess it's all part of piggy ownership. Thanks for the link. šŸ‘

My neutered boar sometimes produces smaller versions of balls like that. I guess it’s smaller as he’s neutered. It smells really bad but what comes out of him is a mixture of bedding, seman and poo. The joys of owning boars

I can just imagine the smell! 🤢🤢🤢 Boars are so lovely but some of the things they produce aren’t so nice! :))

Yup, looks like the white sticky stuff from the pocket. One of my boys produces this stuff more than the others. I confirm it smells the worst. Once one of them left one on the floor and I stepped on it. No fun :vom:
