Unlimited pellets for young guinea pigs?

Hi all,

I noticed in one of the stickied threads a limited amount of pellets are recommended for young guinea pigs, but there are some people who have mentioned they should receive unlimited pellets. Does anyone have any insight into which is the better approach?

Once they are weaned and over three weeks of age, they can have one tablespoon per pig per day. You can give slightly more until they are four months of age (at four months, dropping down to one tablespoon) but hay is the most important part of the diet for any piggy
