Hi

I am very sorry. Please contact an out of hours clinic for advice if needed
.
Your old lady is either very ill - heaving breathing from the sides means that her heart is really struggling to beat - or her body may be closing down. :(

You can try and see whether she is still able to eat support feed or not.

Here is our one stop emergency guide (includes a range of health issues and what to do): Emergency and Crisis Care as well as Bridging Care until a Vet Appointment

Please do not force any feed or water down if she can no longer process it and may not be able to swallow properly. Only give a very little and wait to see how it is going down and that it has actually gone down properly before giving more.

In case you are dealing with the worst case scenario, this very practical step by step guide can talk you through the process since is now late evening here in the UK.
