just wanted to let the members who were concerned about these two piggies know that they are safe with me now. it turned out they are both boars not boar and sow as stated. i believe the person had wanted them to breed from but realised afterwards that it was obviously impossiblemallethead - therefore they were unwanted. they had no sign of veggies, no hay at all and for some reason the little grey one has had loads of his fur cut off. apart from that they do seem in good condition. they are both gorgeous little boys and will stay here with me now. they did not even have names which in my experience of animals can only mean that their were not classed as pets.

What are the rules on preloved about selling pets? Just wondering cos there is an ad near me - 2 breeding rabbits, ready to go, had 4 litters already. Are people allowed to sell pregnant/breeding animals?

Well done Sally, poor little things. Glad they have an experienced home to look after them.

Definitely need some good names for them.
What about...Bond and Q...clearly I'm going on bond theme, because I reckon Sally is the fabulous miss money penny, who helped them out.
:p

Oh how lovely you took them in. Poor things not even having names. I wonder why they cut some of the grey piggies hair off.

it turns out that his whiskers are cut short too:{
poor thing must be so relieved to be away from them

Well done on giving them a new home, I hope they're happy and cheerful :)

Well done you for taking them, the grey one is so handsome, and I love the tri-colours wee face staring right at the camera x

Well done indeed for taking them in. They are truly stunning piggys! I love their cute little faces and fluffy fur. Glad they have found a safe home with you :D x

If I recall correctly it said in he orginal ad that the grey one was a Peruvian, perhaps he's a long haired pig (though I'm guessing he's an abyruvian) and either his fur got messed up and matted so they cut it or they cut it so it wouldn't get messed up. Perhaps they also trimmed his whiskers in the process without realising that it's not a good thing to do.

They're lucky they have a good home now, they're lovely boys. :)

it did indeed state he was a peruvian and also the he was a she. he is only 8 weeks old though so wouldn't have thought he was old enough to get into such a mess that his fur needed cutting off like this - but then i'll never know. it least he seems happy here anyway:)

Really glad you managed to go get them, and thanks for keeping me updated too.
So happy that you managed to persuade your OH to keep them :)) They'll have a great home with you. Let us know what names you decide on :)
Have they settled in well?

they've settled really well jess. the little grey one who was really scared is already getting better with us. he doesn't run off when we go to stroke him or pick him up. my daughter wants to name him 'storm' because of all the different grey shades in his fur - reminds her of a stormy sky! the other one has been named pinocchio. she said the white stripe down his nose reminds her of the disney character. we do have some strange names in our houserolleyes.

Poor boys :(

The peruvian looks like a black roan :)) very pretty!

They're lovely names! Storm looks like it would suit him too. I'm glad they've settled :)
