Hi all,

I said I would send another message about shipping to the UK and I just got this reply:

"Hi Magdalena - we are getting closer. Not quite there yet, though. At the end of September we have a fedex rep coming in to set us up with harmonized codes and training for all the necessary paperwork we'll need to do for each shipment. UK is on the top of the list. Should have it up and running in one month.

So sorry for the delay!

Sue

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY Hopefully they will stick to their word and make getting hold of C+C grids and correx + ramps and accessories a heck of a lot easier for us drool xx>>> :)) ^) :<>

EXCITED! :(|)

fab news, we did struggle getting all the stuff for ours, but i was determined!( if it will be easier to get all the parts, i can have more cages he he he)

wow i was looking at those the other day and was thinking when i go america next year i could get one delivered to my hotel :))

so that will be very good if they ship here i cant wait thanks for sharing

Just had a look at that site OMG drool:(|)

I know... I WANT EVERYTHING!! :(|)

This is the link for GhostBusterBunny: http://www.guineapigzone.com/c-and-c-cages-guinea-pigs -c

Will send her another message near end of September and ask for an update to post here :) I did mention in both emails that there is a whole forum full of piggy owners in need of C+C stuff etc, maybe that helped sway them into deciding to find out about shipping to the UK :<>

Update number 2

Just got this reply:

Pretty soon. Just waiting for the web people to get it completely loaded to the site, so the shipping calculator works. May be a couple weeks.

Update again

Hello, sorry I thought I had put this up already but I guess not...

I got this a couple of days ago after I sent another email...

"Status update is that we're still working on loading the shipping module into the site and we are having a bit of difficulty. So sorry for this delay - we are looking into possibly going with USPS as it may be a simpler process. At least two more weeks - so sorry!

As before, I'll keep on pestering her until it's done lol! :aJFBQ00150070111B:

Another "...just a little longer" Update

Hello all,

As promised, I have continued to contact the site and just received this reply:

"Hi Magdelena - thanks very much for checking. So far, Fedex hasn't been the help we would have liked. We're now meeting with DHL and USPS. USPS looks like they have better rates, and we really want to be sure that it's not cost-prohibitive to even ship international. So sorry it's taking so long. I don't know what to say other than we're desperately working daily on this. We can certainly ship USPS individually, but what would happen is that I'd have to personally and individually get a quote for every single order (which takes a while in itself) then try and bypass the site and go through paypal for every invoice....quite a lot of work. Much easier if we could get it to calculate on the site.

Sorry for the long wait, but please keep checking back. It's going to happen!

Sue

I'll check back again in about 2 weeks or so and see if there is any change... might be a few days late though as my operation is around that time.

UPDATE ON STATUS OF GUINEAPIGZONE.COM

Hello all, sorry I've not been able to keep in contact with Sue of Guineapigzone.com following my stay in hospital but I emailed her again last night and got this reply RE: shipping to the UK today:

"Hi Magdelena - hope everything is ok~ definitely getting closer to UK shipping. Shouldn't be too much longer. Sorry for delay.

Sue..."

So yet another "a little longer" reply, starting to think it may never happen but I will keep in contact and see where it goes.

That's where I got my boys' cage from. The caged shipped very quickly, came with lots of extra connectors, not to mention a thank you note :) very good experience.

Great. But just be mindful of customs charges when ordering from overseas, I once was charged £23 for an order from the us which was only around 10 in value!

The shipping is like the same price as the cage BUT I personally think it is worth it. Their cages look beautiful and I am very very interested in the ramps. I would like to make my own ramp but I would be worried if its safe enough. It's nice in an all-in-one package... just a bit expensive :))

My boyfriend has ordered me this cage

http://www.guineapigzone.com/c-and-c-cages-guinea-pigs/14-cages-with-decks/68-xl-cage--2x2-loft

It has been shipped and is on its way! How super lucky am I? It's a big birthday present (Although brthday is in September :red) He won't have to buy me anything for a few years :))

Just to let people know, this in total as cost my boyfriend around £180. So very expensive but I really loved the cage and its pretty big.

I am hoping to get 3 piggies... and I am sure this space will be good for them, not to mention the space upstairs too!
