Things have been very sad since losing my darling pepper, I miss her every day but the piggies have been keeping me busy and occupied and I have some good news, infact a few bits of good news.

Firstly after nearly a year my scared little silver has finally come out of his shell, no longer is he hiding under the ramp and running away from me, he is now wheeking for food - rather demanding it actually and moves about the pen with the girls and has found so much confidence it is lovely to finally see this boy enjoy his life.

Secondly the herd has grown by two, there was enough room to add two more girls in the group if they wanted them and they did, so I have a herd of 6, Crystal, minty, fudge, silver and now katrina and nissa both from suzy at glynneath GPR.

silver and his girls - this is how confident he has become, he would have been right at the back previously

still a baby really but growing so fast, very gentle little lady and so much better behaved than fudge was at her age (but that isnt hard as fudge is still a little madam)

katrina

a young lady that is very much a dizzy diva, she is just today finding her voice and copying silver (oh dear, noooooo), was hated by her sisters, found love in my herd and they love her back, a bit of a naughty girl with nissa but should settle once nissa grows up.

and the new pigs are not all that has happened, I have been busy with the sqube factory and have been developing more products, currently making up the newest items trialing presently (its a big pass with the herd), the uber huge tunnel

in size comparison to the sqube (which is big enough dont forget for 2 large pigs to use)

working on larger squbes to fit cats and small dogs but the tunnels are first on the launch list

And still got my beautiful boys, in a new run now as they never liked the apex run, they love the 4'x3' square run

It is great to hear Silver has gained confidence. Your new additions are gorgeous.

Hello! Hope you are ok.

Fantastic to hear that Silver is coming really out of his shell! And congratulations on your gorgeous x) girlies Nessa is stunning drool I love how brown she is.

Lovely news! Your squbes, trunnels and gazebos arrived safely here in OZ and the boys have been putting them to good use. They already had squbes, the additional ones are for spares as they love them so. The gazebos are a big hit for the outdoor pen. They certainly prefer them to the plastic pigloos I was using outside before I discovered your gazebos. And I like them better because the plastic tends to be cold in winter and hot in summer. You just can't beat fleece for all around comfort. And my tunnel squasher Peanut Butter cannot squash a trunnel!

aww thats so lovely re the piggies, glad things are going well.

At least you know Pepper will never be forgotten on here and never at home whilst you have the 'beware of the dog' sign up lol how i laughed when i read your status about the delivery driver's awkward moment x

Aw.... You have some beautiful piggys and your Abby looks just like my twiglet. I do have a soft spot for them. Love your tunnels aswell, the materials are great. So sad to hear of the loss of pepper x

yea that was a little awkward :))

For those who dont know what happened, I had a delivery of more wadding and the driver - fair dos to him saw the sign on the gate and that my doors were open and shouted to make sure he didnt get bitten and I completely understand this. But when I went out to sign for it, most drivers now had met her and the postman and knew she was fine, practically horizontal, he said he wasnt sure about a dog coming running out because of the sign on the gate, to which I replied "its ok, she died a month ago", poor love didnt know what to say or do after that :red

The new girls are still settling in nicely and katrina is leaving nissa alone more now, they have had a week of open or non sided soft beds with no issue so I think it might be time to introduce the squbes back into the pen. Its been hillarious that the two medium log tunnels that are really a bit small for the big 3 girls and katrina while she is growing, they are there for nissa to have an escape quickly but they are all using them, squeezing through them determined to fit :))

Still working on the huge tunnels and getting a stock level up, plus the gazebos and trunnels, but sadly am also nursing poor lupin this week as he seems to have a dental issue and is being a pansy about syringe feeding, thankfully no damage has been done by his pointy bits that have been burred yesterday (tues) so I hope he starts to pick back up and chomp away on his own soon
