he has had his x ray and apparently they couldn't see any stones worth operating on only tiny fragments of grit so he is just having anti infl and is coming home!:))

It might be worth discussing the use of cystease with your vet. This is a bladder lining food supplement for cats (available from vetuk.co.uk) which is increasingly being used for guinea pigs with long term bladder irritation problems through stones, sludge or interstitial/chronic cystitis. My Nerys has been on it for over a year with great success. It is not a medication per se and won't cure anything, but it can protect inflamed bladder tissue. Please be aware that you will have to keep an eye out for bladder issues from now on.

Thank you I will look into that:) can you get it without perscription? and if so what dose would it be for a piggie?

Yes,biscuit had problems when I took him on with blood in pee, I will have to think about the diet although he usually eats just meadow hay, pellets and peppers, some carrots, spring greens and cucumber

Biscuit is fine and is happily munching on hay, he loves his food so that's a good sign:)

I feel really lucky it's not really bad news for him he is so sweet:)
