Update on brothers apartment fire THEY FOUND GUINEA PIGS WHERE THE FIRE STARTED!

They found them alive and well!!
There was 3 floors and the 3rd floor is where the fire started, they had a dog and 3 guinea pigs, I guess the night it happened the little girl was sobbing so hard because she had to leave her piggies behind well the roof fell on top of them and it must have been a protection or something but the top of the cage was destroyed but the bottom was fine. When the firefighter checked she came out with them in a little cooler and picked one up and he started squealing.
As far as I know the firefighter went in a got my brother wallet and my sister in laws purse, apperently its pretty much just smoke and water damage! :(|):(|)
But its going to be months until they can move back in but for now they're staying here with my family, its cramped but it'll work :)
I'm go glad that the guinea pigs are okay though :)
 
Somebody up there must have been looking out for the animals. Bless them!
 
oh how scary for the piggies, glad they are ok, I'm surprised they werent killed by the smoke x
 
Wow what very lucky piggys. I've always wondered how I'd get my piggys out if my house set on fire. Out of all my belongings I'd want my piggies out the most but I've never figured out how I could grab them all and get them safe.

I'm very glad they are all okay.

I'ma lways thinking the same thing, plus I think about the dogs, oh my they'd all be a handful lol :p
 
I am just very scared that the women wont take the piggies to a vet, I guess they where very cold and wet.

Thankfully I only have the four piggys. But the problem is grabbing them and putting them in somewhere I can carry them all. I could only grab one, maybe two by a miracle if I was doing it with my arms only. @.@

It's always been a worry of mine.
 
Maybe have an open top cardboard box next to their house to grab them and put them in, in an emergency? I wouldn't know what to do! So pleased the piggies got out safe and are okay :)
 
I wouldn't be able to put all mine in the same cardboard box though. I have three pairs and a single. Could possibly temporarily cram tilly doris annie and fraz together as he's neutered. Tilly hates annie but theyd have to work it out ! but then would need another two boxes for the two boys and willy. Very worrying.. don't like thinking about it !
 
Maybe a cardboard box with dividers in, of course only as a temporary measure just to get them out of the house :P
