Update on Chip (rabbit with EC)

Hi all, I have some fantastic news!! A few days ago i had Chip blood tested for E.cuniculi, I didn't want to mention it to anyone as i was really scared of the result.

Anyway, I got a call from the vets earlier today to say that she had been tested NEGATIVE for EC!!

I can't tell you all how happy i am right now! She looks like a normal bunny again, she has now got one lop ear and the other straight, but it adds to her charactor :smitten:

Thank you to everyone for all your kind and supportive messages over the past few weeks.

I'm so bloody happy! :D :D :D

It's one of the symptoms of EC.....Although everyone i know swears blind that she's had a stroke and never did had EC in the first place. I was so happy i forgot to ask the vets if this could have been the case ::)

Well almost normal :) I don't think she will ever be a 'normal' bunny, but she's getting there :smitten:
 
Thats brilliant news! :) I'm so pleased for you. It doesn't matter if she is slightly different anyway. Mr little Schmichael has Horner's Syndrome (paralysis on one side of his face) which gives him a slightly lopsided appearance but it really doesn't matter. It makes him who he is! :smitten:

Thats brilliant news! You must be so happy and relieved! It seems as though it was all a bit of a mystery - but hey ho - she's getting better thats the main thing! :D
 
thank goodness shes doing greata nd is clear of this awlful illness she is such a darling and I bet you did cry when they told you it was clear I know I would have done :smitten:
