I didn't quite know where to put this but because its about teeth I thought it might be best here but feel free to move it if needed.

Elvis my pig who had eaten hardly anything , [and some weeks nothing] for approx 4 months and has been seeing AP to get his teeth done has been stopping with him for 5 weeks now.
The good news is he is now eating by himself and Ap has not syringe fed him for over two weeks:) It has been at times very hard not knowing if he was ever going to improve but he has thanks to AP.

He is 4 1/2 so quite a good age but at least he has got a bit more time than he would have had and is hopefully coming home within the next couple of weeks.

That is fabulous news I am so happy to hear that he is doing so well and that he will soon be back with you!

Great news! I hope that Elvis has some happy times left!

That's fantastic. Well done to Elvis, you and AP. I'm sure you can't wait to have him home again. x

I am so Happy for you Ruth, I know from reading your posts you have been though alot with Elvis and I am so happy he is coming home!

Awwwwwwwwwwwww I am sooooooooo pleased for you and Elvis having met the gorgeous little man x) You have never given up hope with him and all credit to you and AP for never giving up :) It is mentally and physically draining syringe feeding full time, but you have never stopped trying to do your best for Elvis and I can't believe he is eating on his own and for 2 weeks! that is such good news, I bet you can't wait to bring him home :) I know AP loves choccy biccies, I bought him a box or two when he helped my little Peggy :)

Wonderful news! Will he continue to see AP for checkups to make sure all is staying well? Even when my dental piggies are eating well, they continue to see Simon regularly, just to keep on top of things, as teeth can go wrong again so very quickly.

I bet you can't wait to get the little guy home!

is he still with Jenson ?

Yes he is but Ap said he was going to spilt them this week just to check that Elvis will eat when on his own as well., he can go in with Sammy hopefully when he comes back.

I usually take piggy food when I go but will take some choccie biccies next time:), he will still have to go every few weeks anyway.

This is really wonderful news Ruth, I am thrilled for you. Huge credit to AP as well as yourself for persevering. What hope Elvis will bring to other guineas with similar problems!
xx

Elvis is back home

We went to AP's yesterday to pick Elvis up. As he opened the door into his [very large] piggy shed, he pointed him out. I couldn't believe my eyes there he was up the side of the cage on hind legs waiting for food:(|) I was shocked I had to look at his face to make sure it was him, and I couldn't stop myself from crying a bit.

His fur is longer now so he looks a bit different but he looks like the pig he was before he got ill.I settled him back in at home[new hutch] and took a picture this morning of him 'eating' a carrot.

Ap doesn't know what he did but whatever it was it worked! So I would just like to say another thankyou on here.

Settled in, he can see the other two on the other side. I will try him in the run after with Sammy to see if he wants the company.

It is amazing to see these pictures and here how 'normal' he is after so long struggling with his dental problems.

What a credit Elvis is to AP. And you, of course. :)

Ruth! I am so happy for you, I knew from previous posts how at a loss you were, anytime I seen a post about Elvis I would read in the hope he'd improve. I am so happy, that he is now back with you and eating, You and Ap together kept fighting for that little guy and I am so glad it has paid off.

I love a happy end!

Well done to everyone involved! xx>>>

Now we want lots more pigtures of Elvis! :))

xx

Welcome home Elvis! xx>>>

It must be so lovely to have him home again. Well done to you, AP and Elvis for your efforts. :)
