Well the fungal pigs have been here for 10 days now so I thought it was time for an update.

Here is Ajax, the worst affected boy:

You can see although he is still bald on the nose, the hair is starting to regrow and the skin is pink and healthy.

Here is Bessie on arrival:

And just for those that I know love these girls, Ruby and Sapphire:

Sapphire's eye is clearing up really well, thank goodness.

Thank you to everyone who has offered their support and kind words about these piggies and to AP for his help on the phone (and for putting me in contact with another very useful person!).

A mixture of Malaseb baths every few days, Daktarin gold, Canasten and Bepanthen has done the trick!

I've got through a lot of disposable gloves over the last 10 days! :))

wowzers... that's an incredible improvement!

Hats (and gloves) off to you for giving these little guys the chance to get better.

Wonderful to see how well they are doing. Well done you!

Bessie looks like a real sweetie, and poor Ajax with his baldy nose, you can see he's a very handsome chap though.

Ajax is looking great xx>>> well done for taking such good care of them xx

What a great improvement! Ajax is looking downright handsome already!

Cariad is very taken with Sapphire - she hadn't realised that they have similar colouring! She is glad that the eye is getting better as well.

Aww! Sophie they all look fab, such a huge improvement, little Ajax has stolen my heart x). Beautiful piggies.

Those cute piggies will be feeling very thankful that they landed in such kind hands. *Guinea applaud*

Glad all the piggies are making great improvements! Just shows what good welfare standards and perservence can do! you really are a dedicate bunch!

Wow - what an improvement - I bet they feel a lot better now - they certainly look a lot better - lovely noses now, they just need a bit of hair back to look their best. :)

So lovely to see that they are making brilliant progress with your help and patience :) Ajax's nose is so much better - wow, he must feel so happy and little Bessie has improved so much, it must have been horrible having a sore near her eye :( Are all the others getting better that are going to Walsall? :)

What fantastic progress, keep up the brilliant work Sophie, you are doing a cracking job. Please give them all a special snuggle from me, they are gorgeous.x)

Oh wow - I just knew there was a handsome little fellow in there waiting to blossom :)

Fantastic news that they're doing so well xx>>>

Unfortunately poor Aggie and her 2 babies who are with me are now showing signs of ringworm - there was no visible sign when they arrived. I have 4 pregnant girls here too from the same bunch and I now am assuming that there is a very real possibility that they will give birth to fungal babies :(

I'm now on my second box of gloves and my second bottle of malaseb - my hands are all dry and crispy ......................rolleyes

Am praying the other babies are ok Teresa, poor little mites. Just goes to show how something like this can go in a cycle that is hard to break, when apparently healthy sows are giving birth to apparently healthy babies... doesn't bear thinking about.

My hands are cripsy too! :{

Thanks for all your hard work.
The piggies look so much better and will love you forever for it xx
