Ginger went for her check up this morning and the ulcer has nearly disappeared however the vet said to continue with the drops 3 times a day as she can see a faint line/circle which she thinks might mean the ulcer is very deep and the dye wont pick it up. Go back in 10 days and if things look better reduce eye drops and if things haven't changed, then change eye drops. I suggested Chloromycetin to her but she said to stick with the Tiacil as they are working at the moment. Thanks for everyone's advice and support :)

missed original thread somehow, but glad Ginger is getting better :smitten: :smitten:

am so happy ginger is getting better. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: must be a big relief for you. sending hugs to you and ginger :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send :-* :-* :-* and we send healing vibes to gin gin girl :smitten:

Got up this morning and now Ginger's eye is infected and was completely closed again! Now trying Fucithalmic Vet eye drops for 10 days. The vet doesn't think it will heal because of her age but I'm trying to stay positive.

you stay positive, if you're not happy with the vet get a second opinion O0 sending hugs and healing vibes to you and ginger :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: know we're thinking of you both and age shouldn't have anything to do with her eye healing up. come on sweet ginger you can do it. O0 if the drops aren't working, perhaps preboiled water with a bit of salt would help. otherwise i would get a second opinion O0 :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
