Since his daddy (Mr Tiggy) passed away a few weeks ago Joe has been living alone. :( Its the first time he has been on his own as he moved in with daddy when he could no longer be with his mummy. I really worried that he would pine and at first he seemed very sad. :( I moved his cage into the lounge so he would get a lot of human company and let him have another cage of piggies next to him. The first week he had Ginger and Snap then it was Skye, Poppet and Toffee and this week he has had Ralfie and Berby as his neighbours. He seemed to really like Ralfie and Berby and has spent the past two days outside in the run with them. :) All three of them have played so nicely together so I have decided to try them together in a cage.

Although all my boars are kept in pairs I have never kept three boars together. So far they seem fine and happy together. :) Has anyone else kept three boars together successfully? I am keeping a close eye on things at the moment but so far so good! O0

I know of quite a few people who have kept/ do keep three or more boars together. O0

yup i have Chessy,Chocolate and their dad together
What ages are they? Joe is nearly 4, Ralfie about 9 months and Berby is 7 weeks.
hmm Daddy pig is roughly a couple of years and Chessy and bro are just over a year

I am sure it will, however, you can never tell, it is when they hit the teenager stage that the relationships are made or broken. So providing Berby doesn't get to big for his boots they should be fine. :)

Woo Hoo you said it was going along nicely Debbie, this is just great news for little Joe :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
Awwww he'll be such good company for the young boys, he can show them how to be lovely like him :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Can i have a piccie of the three of them together? please :-* :-*

Fantastic Debbie O0
It's wonderful for Joe to have mates & being such a well-mannered boy he can teach Berby ;) ;D

Not so sure about Joe teaching them his lovely manners - so far they are teaching him to be a little horror! >:D >:D >:D

Its so lovely to see though! He has become so loud and cheeky! :D :D :D

Debbie I have often kept trios of boys with great success, at the moment Biscuit Scrappy and Tiger all share a run but they did have Bertie and Jasper in as well before they went to RB, as long as they get along leave them to build a good relationship, Tiger adores Bicscuit and they are often snuggled up in the pigloo together, but then scrappy wants in so they struggle to fit in one ;) good luck hope Joes ok with them and is accepted

I have 3 boars as you can see in the picture
<======
They've never been agressive, just touchy ::)

Thanks Michelle, its good to hear you have kept trios very successfully. I've always been too scared to give it a go before in case I upset a happy couple. It was seeing how well they got on together in the run which made me think it was worth giving it a go. I'll keep you updated of how its going. :)
