Hi. After Luigi's little tiff with Big Dave I took him off to the vets this morning. He has been given antibiotics for 10 days and I've to bath his wound with salt water. Got to keep an eye on it in case it doesn't heal. Any tips on how to give oral medicine to a guinea pig?!

Awwwwwww poor Luigi give him a chin tickle from myself. Is he on baytril? I use a little bit of ribena in the syringe along with the medicine just to take the nasty taste away, someone on here suggested it to me and it works brilliantly.
Also don't take too long trying to coax the syringe into his mouth, just go quick and then reward him with his favourite veggie.

Worth a look. I found the best way was to come to the side of her mouth, she minded less then. Ribena worked, had orange juice suggested to me before too.
