Amysguineapigs
Teenage Guinea Pig
Today we took the new piggy to our Cavy Savvy vet Rosie today (I know some people see Rosie on this forum) she gave our piggy a full health check, everything was fine. She weighed her and said she's fine and that her weights nothing to worry about. We told her about a little bald patch she has on her back and she said it looks like she has been barbered from her sisters who she was previously living with. The bald patch didn't indicate any signs of mite, ringworm etc.
Rosie gave her a spot on for mites and worms just in case- but overall she said she looks healthy and her coat is lovely and clean.
She also said that she is a lilac
, we told her that her one sister was ginger and white and Rosie said a lilac is a ginger and white diluted(she said something like that anyway).
Rosie seemed surprised that we did quarantine her to be honest, she didn't think it was necessary going by how well and healthy she looks. So we're bonding her with the girls this weekend.
We trust our vets and that's all that matters. Rosie grew up with Peter Gurney so she is very experienced with guinea pigs, she told us some very good information and facts today.
