Well I just recently moved from my crany old lady's place into a new apartment. Oreo went to my mum's for a bit and apparently she had a blast playing with my youngest brother and my mom's little 4lb dog. She settled in well.

I just recently found out how big of a suck she is. We had a thunder storm and she didnt know what thunder sounded like and OMG I had never heard a piggie scream and cry so hard. My fiance ended up bringing her to bed and she slept with us the whole night (she had made no mess at all).

Before we took her out to my mum's we stopped at Petsmart (where I got her) to see those who were with her when she was returned. They were so pleased to see how healthy and how big she had gotten. When I took her in she freaked out so bad that I only calmed her down by saying 'wanna go get some treats' and she calmed down and even wheeked at me when she found her favorite treats as I was asking for her input hehe. The employees were laughing at how attached she was to me and how socialized she was. The manager was so excited to see her that she took her out of the travel cage and held her and was so proud to say that she found her permanent home with me. Needless to say I think everyone at Petsmart were almost in tears when she left that night with me because they were sooooooooo happy! It made my day that my almost 11 month old guinea pig touched so many there. Haha a little story was written up about her and put beside the guinea pig cages I will have to post it at some point

Hello, my name is Oreo and I want to tell you my story of my Happy Ending!
I was born on August 13, 2010 and was separated from my mom at a young age. When I left my mom, I went on a road trip to Saskatoon where I was sent to a store called Pet Smart. I didn’t know what was going to happen. The people there were so nice to me. However they fed me Kale and I hated the stuff, yet to please them I ate it anyway. I enjoyed it there. But however that was to change. A family came in one day when it was cold outside and there was white stuff covering the grass. I heard that they wanted a pet for their daughter. She looked like she was small to me. I was leery about them. They didn’t seem too bad only that I was thinking that something was wrong with what they were asking. They were asking on what I needed and the type of care I needed…. I didn’t like the fact that I wasn’t held and the girl kept poking the glass. I didn’t like that. But they insisted on buying me. I went with them and I was unsure about everything. Then I got scared because every time I was picked up it hurt and I cried. They didn’t understand. So I started biting and they hated it. I made sure I was not happy. They were very disappointed because I hurt their daughter by biting her and drawing blood. So they returned me the next day. I had only been there for a week. The person who took me back was surprised at my behavior because I bit her. She calmed me down and after three days with her I was back on display. Two days later a lady in a bright green coat came. I saw how she was looking at me and had a huge smile on her face when she saw me. She even talked to me! She questioned about me and asked to hold me. When I was placed in her arms I knew she was my mom and I snuggled in deep thinking please take me home. She said she would be back in four hours and to put me on reserve. I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT! I WAS GOING WITH SOMEONE WHO CARED ABOUT ME! When she came back, I was placed in a box and I hated it. She knew and made sure I was comforted. I arrived at my new home and I was immediately given a haircut on my bum! But that night she snuggled with me and I knew I was home. I snuggled with my new mom every day and night. I loved her so much. I love my home. They treat me so well. I hope my followers find their happy endings like I did. I was almost 3 months old when my mommy bought me and now I get to spend my first birthday with my mommy and my daddy. I am so happy that I went home with the lady in the green coat who is now my mommy!

Beautiful x)x)x)
They're obviously lovely people there Clare, more than your average stores that aren't always savvy on care........ :( but that's cause they've not been educated
I think Miss Oreo has shown them how much she just needed to be loved and cared for.......as you know piggies don't normally bite unless they're unhappy.....or hurt...... :(
what a beautiful forever home Oreo has come too THANKYOU xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well not every pet store knows how to look after them. These guys know what they were doing that's for sure
