Update - Teeth Out, Toffee

Well Toffee is eating well and taking his meds. He isn't used to being handled daily but since he is now indoors with me, he'll enjoy the attention, yummy food and care. Since he is only 1.5kg I want to beef him up, he doesn't feel chunky enough.

Any thoughts on driving up weight?

you doing really well. I'm sure when he gets into a rhythm he will beef up. 1.5 is not a bad weight. My lad was 1.3 untill his older years.

1,5kg is a great weight... maybe he used to be heavier? obesity should be prevented in piggies... but I don't know if he is a big-size piggie.

Thanks everyone, he does feel boney to me. I have other males who don't feel boney, I'll see how much hay he eats, he's not used to having good quality hay, but he clearly loves being pampered.

1.5 kg is at the higher end of the spectrum, so please don't feel like you have to beef him up with empty calories. Just concentrate on him keeping his weight. Whatever he loses will come back on afterwards once he is well and eats fully by himself again. if necessary, beef him up with offering extra syringe feed or mushed up pellets.

No, I've only got him for another week, but he is going to get the best care. He's enjoying his Metacam and the daily cuddles.

Do you mean 1050g as that can be on the smaller side for a boar? 1500g is pretty huge, my chunky Podrick is only 1350g
