I haven't been on for a while, and just thought I'd update you to the situation with my 2 boars - one bit the other quite badly when trying to bond them.
I seperated them indefinitely after the incident and kept a very close eye on Minipig (as we eventually named him), treating his bite with savlon after it had started to scab over. I'm happy to say that he has completely healed and the scab has gone, leaving only a tiny scar behind that's barely visible.
After much pleading on my part, DH decided he couldn't part with Winston or Minipig, and so although I promised we wouldn't have 3 cages in our (tiny) house, Wini and Mini now live side by side quite happily in the spare room. I feel bad that Mini is on his own, but I don't think I could risk another mismatched bonding
but he seems happy there, he's very lovable and loves his toys!
