Hey Guys
Please don't follow my advice or treatment I AM NOT A VET.
So for the past 10 days i have been back in India, I have gotten spot on ivermectin for my sow who was shedding hair. I noticed she was quite itchy and biting her skin so i started with 1mg spot on ivermectin 0.3 ml (her weight is 700g) once a week. She has stopped itching and her skin looks less red.
For my boar with the lump, I tried contacting and looking for vets, found 1 3000 km away with no mode of transportation to take my piggy with me. At this point just keeping him as comfortable as possible and changing his sheets every now and then to reduce risk of infection.

Hi

You need to treat mange mites with ivermectin at least three times at the product specific interval (see packaging) or the mites will come back. The second round will take care of any emerging mites after the first round and the third should mop up any stragglers.
New piggy problems: URI - ringworm - skin parasites

I am so very sorry that you haven't got vet access apart from the really bad ones for euthanasia whenever it becomes necessary. :(

Hi wiebke
Yes I have given her first dose last week and her next dose is due tomorrow:)

I still remember when my other boar was very sick last year and when i came back to india for 3 days to try treat him and syringe feed him, I took him to the vets here and one of them literally gave me blessings cause he didn't knew what else he could give us to help my piggy.
