I have finally admitted to myself that I have 5 guinea pigs, when my 2 original 'boys' had babies I decided that 5 was far too many to keep in a flat but guess what.........who needs space when you have the love of a guinea pig.

I hope that you will have lots of joy watching your babies growing up!

I had to give up my own first lot of surprise babies from a shop sow when it became just too difficult to hang onto them due to a major illness in the immediate family at the time that involved a lot of travelling on often extremely short (or no) notice. And I have rued it ever since... especially after I never heard of them again after they'd been rehomed by a local rescue.

I think, deep down, I knew I was keeping them from the start, its just sitting with the boys, rover and spot, this morning that I dont think I could give them up.
One of my sisters piggies died unexpectedly, at only 2 years old and my 3 year old nephew doesnt understand where he has gone, he came up to mine and was searching through my cages to find his 'teh teh' and I just thought of what it would be like if one of mine was not there.

when blossom had babies unexpectedly my oh said they had to go when they were old enough. i was not happy. but instead he built me a huge block of hutches for them - insulated them too - he wouldn't let them go himself now. 2 boys did go to my uncles but i can still see them. i couldn't bare to be without them and not knowing if they were being looked after would worry me. i don't blame you for keeping them. somehow you make the space for a little more love in your heart as well as space in your house:):)

I don't think you find space in your heart, as space runs out eventually. Your heart simply 'grows' to include any new piggies :)
