Upset at vets words about my pig not wanting to stay still

I went to a new vet. He was testing her. Said "she doesnt want to stay still " has he heard of a guinea pig? I'm a sensitive personal and i feel that comment was illogical and ridiculous and slight gaslighting - surely he would understand the logic of a guing pig wanting to run away in general let alone while being felt and tested? Wtf...poor form mateA

Oh no I agree with you ….i have a skinny pig that will jump of the high inspection table if I didn’t hold him
A guinea pig is well aware of predators and your Vet should know your pig sees the vet as one !
I don’t trust any Vet to hold my guinea pig ….so I always hold them
I think Vets can be insensitive sometimes
I’m sorry that visit upset you but I’m totally in agreement with you
Maybe we have both had insensitive Vets !

Guinea pigs don’t stay still unless they are terrified.
It’s natural behaviour for them to run away.

Don’t worry because you have a normal piggy

Piggies need to be handled very lightly and skillfully. Vets who aren't used to piggies may handle them too firmly and make them struggle and panic

Sending you hugs. I get rather stressed when I take my boys to the vets and it’s easy to take things to heart.

I agree it’s the vets problem. You are a fabulous piggy slave. I hope your piggy got a clean bill of health.
