Upsetting cage :(

I have just came across this cage. It is being advertised as a guinea pig starter kit http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?i...+guinea+pig&start=20&gbv=2&ndsp=20&hl=en&sa=N

It has upset me no end and I really hope that people wouldn't dream of housing their pig in this 8... I sometimes worry that my hutch is a little on the small side but surly this is ridiculous

At least someone has left a review stating that it only suited their guinea pig when it was a baby and that they had to buy a bigger one - hopefully that will put people off buying it.

The RSPCA recommend cages or hutches for two guinea pigs (they are

you know, that cage could be used for storage perhaps? but it wouldn't even hold a bag of hay!
i must admit our first cage wasnt massive, but we made sure we got a bigger cage for when they needed it. We put all our supplies in our old cages now. We used to keep the girls in the runs mostly when we had them in smaller cages, but even our smaller cages were bigger than that one! LOL! That one is horrible, I wouldnt even keep my hamster in one that size. x

A cage that size is only handy to take your piggy to the vet surely. I often wonder why these pet stores sell cages that are far too small. I bought the Nero 2 a few years ago for one of mine not realising that they weren't big enough. They are just sat empty in the shed now.rolleyes
