I over heard a conversation today in the playground about piggies so I butted in ;) , a mum has 2 boars, brothers, about 6 months ish they live together BUT the other day she said it sounded like there was a cat in with them and there was lots of banging so she investigated and found that one had a little cut and lots of blood on his face so they had obviously been fighting she doesn't know what to do with them her children are no longer interested but she likes them so is willing to try to get them to like each other mmmmm, I have told her she probably needs to split them as its not good that they are fighting and to be drawing blood is not good. She also said that one bites at her all the time when she moves him into the run etc and it really hurts. I am really concerned that they may really hurt each other any ideas on what advice i can give? I suggested maybe put a divide down the middle or get them neutered and put them with ladies of their own I have even said I will take them as I am worried she is gonna let this Carry on HELP PLEASE!

Well what you have said is all that can be done....they definatly need to be seperated asap...once boars have fought and it has got to that stage, I dont think you can bond them again to be honest. Just tell her to seperate them, get them neutered and girlfriends, or rehome them :)

O0 Cheers that is exactly what I have told her she was like Oh do I have to go through all that, thats when I said I would take them and get them rehomed I cant bear her just letting them fight it out as it will probably be to the death and I did say you dont want your girls going out in the garden and seeing a poorly piggie!

I agree, once they have had a fight it's hard to bond them back. I tried once with two of mine on the off chance, but no such luck!

Well done you for butting in! ;)
