One of my family members has a guinea pig and it has been sneezing quite frequently for two hours. The sneezes sound like it has a build up of phlegm and it's high pitched.

Please could you tell me what this could be. :)

Oh poor piggy. Is he eating OK? His breathing?

If I were you I'd ring the vets and ask their opinion, he may just have some snuffles but also may have an infection if he sounds phlemmy and best not left untreated xx

Hello, is there a discharge from his nose or eyes? What does his breathing sound like, is it all snuffly? It could just be a bit of hay irritating the piggies nose, or it could be a URI which is very common. A close eye needs to be kept on the wee piggie and if they don't stop sneezing, or there is any discharge etc the piggy needs to see a vet xox

Can you keep it indoors overnight? If it is a respiratory infection then the cold won't help it.
