Hi My piggie Nibble I have just noticed a slightly fatter tummy than usual and one side does make a hollow sound when tapped. He recently lost his brother.
I'm worried it is bloat. He was demanding food this morning though hasn't eaten much, nuggets for a while but I'm not sure he is fond of them.Has eaten veg today and his hay but hasnt eaten his corn on the cob treat. It is Saturday night here and my vet will open on Monday morning.
Makes a little noise when I rub his tum. Like a little chirping. Help Don't know what to do.

All vets will operate an emergency number and if you are registered with them already the likelihood is that they will open up for you.
If you are worried it is bloat you will need to seek medical help, in the interim keep off the veg and treats, rub your piggies stomach or use an electric toothbrush for the vibrations to help to dislodge the gas, but vet treatment is the only way.

Thank you so much

Hi!

Please read this advice here. Google for any out-of-hours or 24 hour services in your area or listen to the message on your vet's contact number. The sooner you can see a vet the better, especially if you are dealing with a blockage or twisted gut.
