Please help me, my baby Holly who is 4 has just fell off her ramp and now she's gone all quiet and looks in shock and is limping a little but she doesn't mind me touching her leg, how do I tell if anything is broken? She lives in a 2 tier cage with her other 2 cage mates but they're a lot younger and don't mind going up and down the ramp, Holly hates it and when she tried to do it she fell right down the side :0 is she ok? it's her front right leg.

She needs to see a vet to confirm nothing is broken...

Rocky once jumped out of my arms and landed on concrete and he was limping and wheezing and a rushed him down to the emergency vets... Always happens on a Sunday...!... And he was fine... By the time I got to the vets he had totally recovered...
But just pop her in today and they will check her out for you...
Hope she's okay...
x

You must take her to the vet asap, please phone them now - even if she has not broken anything she will need pain relief. Her teeth will need to be checked too as they often break in a fall - sometimes above the gumline which can take a few days to show.

I'm off to the vets just now as mine shuts at 10! will keep you informed! :0 thanks!

Pheww I can wipe the sweat from my brow, it's all ok just a little bruised on her foot! :) So happy.

I'm glad to hear that she is OK, having a fall is a terrifying thing! My girl Treacle has had a bit of a deathwish before, and has 'thrown herself' out of the top storey of her hutch before :(

Aw, poor baby - so pleased she is ok x>>
Lots of treats and pampering for her now from her slave ;)
One of my Himi girls raced up her ramp playing with her sisters and fell about five-six inches (the pens are all vet bedded so think it cushioned her) She just continued zooming around - it was me who was having a breakdown but she was fine :))
Healing vibes from us to your little one :laluot_29:

I would suggest a trip to B & Q for some off cuts of wood (cost me 10p )- we used some hard as nails to glue them on to the sides of the ramps - as piggies tend to barge past each other on ramps or try and get up 2 at a time - or you could also try attaching a tunnel along the ramp to avoid future falls.
