Hi, i have to males that are brothers and are about 6 months old. normaly get on great but the other night they had a huge fight. Fur bedding every where. They are at the vets today as one looks like hes been bitten like an apple! And the other one has little cuts and a small bit on lips.
They seem to have settled down after this and as I was taking them on the way to work (vets) they started again.
What do I do?
I have rang a rescue up and she is going to lend me an indoor cage. If I split them up I think I will never get them back together again. Do I bath them and see how they go, as this has only happed twice. But worried if they start again and it could be worse.
I could have them castrated today as we are not too busy, then they could go with girls... Advice please

Sorry to hear this Mary. Boys! I think since blood has been shed it will be hard for them to become firm friends again. I had this with Sunshine and Twinkle and did try the next to one another in seperate cages but even after they got over the hormonal stage it still never worked out.

Two you have two sets of girls? One boy could live with each group of girls 2 boys would be a crowd.

Good luck!

i had this with my rubran and aflie - aflie attacked rubran and there was blood and that was the end of that aflie now on his own but aflie still see's rubran and the other boys (rubran lives with his 3 borthers)

It is definately wise to seperate now. I had this with Balloo and GB and they both live apart now. Balloo has been matched up with another boy and is working well and GB is being matched up with a customers piggie on Tuesday. Would be worth considering them as neutered boys with their own hareem :)

i have had this with mine before, they never did go back together, and so i castrated both and they now live happily on their own with 2 sets of girls:)):))

Well I have just had them castrated this morning, I will just keep an eye on them but at least they have been done now so if it kicks of again, they can live apart with females. Thanks for the advice guys xx
