Hello.....I was wondering if I could ask the valued advice of my fellow GPF friends? My little lady was crackling yesterday and I noticed a she had a slightly crusty nose......and I like to panic I rang the vet and got an appointment with 30 minutes. The vet says she has a very slight URI and has ut her on 0.4ml of baytril once a day for a week to "nip it in the bud". I've got up this morning and she isn't crackling seems absolutely normal in herself, eaing, squeaking.......
They've been inside for so long now with the bad weather and now this week it's going to be so nice......can I still put her outside or would you think it best to keep her in? And also how do they catch URI's and what is the likelihood that my other pig, Bruiser, will catch it off her?

I would probably keep her inside for a while. The Antibiotics can sometimes kick in early and it's sounds very encouraging for your piggie. Infections can transfer by their nature, however I have never experienced a URI transfer between our girls. Just keep an eye on Bruiser. Hope your girl gets well soon.
