Hi All,

Smudge somehow hurt her front leg yesterday, was unable to put any weight on it and would squeal whenever it was touched. We took her to the vets yesterday and overnight she has responded really well to the anti-inflammatory injection and painkillers. As of this morning she is putting weight on the foot and allows it to be touched without being in obvious pain.

But, since this morning Smudge's breathing is very noisy. It sounds like it's coming from the nose and the vet confirmed her chest was clear. Her eyes are also watery (not gunky or white liquid, but quite thick clear liquid). I am just wondering - is it possible for a GP to have these symptoms as a reaction to stress/pain, without an underlying URI?

Chris

PS. Video of smudge here . It's normally a lot noisier than this but Archie was comforting her so that probably helped. :)

It could be the stress of the injury and vet trip has lowered her immunity a bit. Keep a close eye on her especially her breathing. Pop her back to the vets if you are concerned.

Thanks pig in the city - that makes sense. She is getting no worse so once the leg becomes less painful for her I hope the noise will subside.
