Junior Guinea Pig
I kind of know the answers to my own questions but though I would ask on here as you guys are so experienced and any input would be great.
Harold has had some noisy breathing kind of like hooting but not on every breath he was making hooting noises on and off yesterday. He has made this noise a couple of time before and stopped straightaway and never did it again until now. So he was making the noise yesterday morning before I went to work and I told him if he keeps it up he's going to the vet! I got back from work and he stopped but was not his Skippy self. 8pm and he starts the noise again! But he had picked up and was popcoring all over the place but it was too late I have booked him in to see the vet!
He has not made any unusual noises today but I still want to take him to the vet for a check up. Would you guys still take him? Also if they can't hear anything is it wise to take antibiotics as a precaution as I don't want him exposed to medicine if he doesn't need it incase of tummy upsets and superbugs in the future? Can piggies get sick like us and get better with no intervention? Don't worry the vet will also be bombarded with these questions too but I like to go with ammo from you guys
