Hi,
I have recently got two 8 week old piggies, one of which has a URI.
He has been on antibiotics for 7 days and has two more days to go.
Last weekend he had two days of F10 nebs, I was advised to buy a nebuliser and given the medicine to use in it.
I have checked the piggy known as Oreo daily for a noisy chest and every few days his chest becomes noisy again and I am needing to do more nebs.
How long should it take him to recover, should I continue with nebs or stop them and see how he goes?
It seems the nebs help for about 24 hours and his symptoms return.
Should I go back to the vet?
I am fairly new at caring for poorly piggies, however I am a human nurse and know when I need help.
Any suggestions appreciated.

It can take a week or more for acute symptoms to go down, but if in any doubt, please contact your vet!
What to check and look out for in new guinea pigs (vet checks, sexing, parasites&illness)

Thank you for getting back to me, I think I will take little Oreo back to the vets tomorrow, if not for him but for my piece of mind.
