My piggie saint has a uri shes been getting treated since last Thursday vet gaves us baytril .5ml & loxicom .17ml, she wasn't getting any better so yesterday back to vets and got bisolvon and I asked for some fibreplex just to be on the safe side she is maintaining her weight (1330g) eating drinking just snuffly with mucus , the vet recommended steaming her i was already doing this but she recommended the baby olbas oil , sadly this isn't my normal vet she is primarily a small animal vet but I just wasn't 100% sure on this

On other threads, Olbas oil is said to be okay for piggies with breathing issues, but only put in hot water when doing the steaming, or on a tissue /cloth out of reach of the piggy itself. Hope your piggy gets better soon!

Always a good idea to check if you're not sure - apparently Vicks is a big no-no for guineas, but it would be easy to remember it the wrong way round!
