Just curious about these supplements. I’ve been told to wait till 9-12 months for urinary ones but what’s everyone’s views? Mine have nothing wrong I just wanna limit the change of bladder stones. I was told try them on a half each every week as they’re between 3-4 months C7CD6EFF-8452-481F-A1A2-2E20B0FB763D.webp7A4949FB-3267-4972-870F-1FCDDA26FC3A.webp

@trioguineapig3 The Vitamin C ones are pretty useless if your pigs eat fruit and veg as they will get plenty from that.

The Urinary Support ones won't stop bladder stones forming. They tend to be partly genetic and partly due to calcium but there's still lots of learn about them. They go have 44 mg of glucosamine in them, which will be of use if your piggy ever starts to cry when peeing or pooping.

My boys get either a urinary, digestive or multivitamim tablet each day. I don't suspect they will have any impact on my pigs but they love treats so I thought there would be okay

What tablets do you use?

Is glucosamine good for cystitis discomfort? I have a whole pack of oxbow tablets in my cupboard. Glucosamine ones

Only thing is. I'm having to grind up the oxbow tablet into the cc. But i am doing it so i definitely get a whole tablet into one 15ml syringe. The wet wont affect it will it?

I'd probably swap to a glucosamine capsule then @Skypipdot . You can just open the capsule and tip the contents into the critical care (depending in how much glucosamine your vet wants you to give). Or mix it with water and syringe directly.

Where do i buy this?

@Skypipdot If you want a completely vegan one you can get them from health food shops.

You can get cat versions from your vet (usually Cystease) or online. I used a cheaper version called Cystassist and I got it from Amazon. I checked them with my vet first and they were happy for them them be used.
