anyone use these? I saw them at a pet store, you are supposed to put some drops in their water and after them being on it for a little while it is supposed to make their urine not smell really at all?? anyone use these?

is a complete cage clean once a week good enough you think?

I do a complete cage clean once a week but spot clean daily. We have little vac that we hoover the poos up with.

It depends how many pigs you have/are getting? It also depends what sort of bedding you would be using, and how big the cage is.
I would say you would need to do it more often than that personally.
I have two guinea pigs on fleece with an old towel underneath, they have a litter tray with care fresh in that they use most of the time. I have to empty this each day, and also sweep up the stray poops daily. Then every 3/4 days I replace the fleece.

I have one male in a pretty big cage.. I clean the poop up about 3 times a day. That is always cleaned up... I have PIne bedding and spot clean as I see fit, I just figured once a week id throw entire stock out and start over..

How much do i need to put in cage? Like how thick i guess, inch? 2 inch? less? more?

So most people dont use shavings? having it on fleece with towel, doesnt pee get everywhere? I thought they like shavings? what is best to keep them on?

The pee soaks through the fleece and into the towel :)) It's easier for me to clean out the cage and after buying the fleeces it works out cheaper than buying shavings :)) Just the cost of washing & drying them.

My piggies prefer it because it's softer for them to lay on :))

Very interesting, I will have to try that and see what happens, I thought they had to have that stuff.
