My girl is 8 and for the winter she is inside to keep her happy and healthy out of the frost. I have noticed that when she pees on her fleece it leaves an almost 'powdery' mark? Is this too much calcium in her diet? Is it something to worry about?

@Piggiepawz It is calcium being excreted but it's not necessarily something to worry about. A lot of pigs do it, and it's just a way for them to get rid of excess calcium.

As my vet says, better out than in.

It can be a sign that they eat too many pellets, or don't drink enough water.

Keep an eye on the spots, gritty spots are a sign of bladder sludge and could indicate that they have a bladder stone which would need surgery.

If your girl seems happy then I wouldn't worry about it.
