So McMacs shampoo came this morning and I have just given him a bath. Poor McMac hated having his sore areas touched, especially his back :( I did the whole of his body but didn't want to go near his eyes for obvious reasons. Left him lathered up for a few minutes and then washed him off. He is currently drying off now. And I am changing the fleece to a new one to help. How long before I can give him another bath?

How bad is the fungal? If its not too bad is leave it for 48 - 72 hours, do you have an anti-fungal cream to use in the mean time?

i've never used nizoral myself, but the recommended time i believe (from past reading) is 7 days between baths

though this seems to be a bit long in my opinion, perhaps every 3-4 days would be better, as with malaseb, imaverol and F10 shampoo they recommend every three days.

does he have lesions around his eyes?
applying an antifungal cream like daktarin or canesten a couple of times a day very carefully would be a good idea for these, and could well help if applied to his other affected areas between baths, though i would be wary of using too many different things at once

best of luck with his condition, having a nightmare at the moment as all 10 of my piggies have a fungal problem :(

Oh gosh :... good luck, I am having a hard time with possibly two.

I don't have a cream to put on him actually, what creams are best that I can get hold of? That would be useful for his eye area as I don't want to get the shampoo in his eyes.
He doesn't seem to be itching as much but I think we still got plenty of baths to go

No I haven't had the chance to ring them as I have been busy with a lot of things including college applications and tests. Will be able to phone them on Friday though.
