I recently made the decision to switch back to fleece from fitch now that we have finally got ourselves a washing machine and no longer have to trundle down to the laundrette (huzzah :)) :)) ). Previously I used old towels under my fleece but having read a few reviews I thought I would give inco pads a go, managed to narrow down a brand which came recommended by others and were big enough for my cages. Quick sew job and bobs your uncle I have some nice flashy new liners. I popped them in the cages this morning, with some newspaper underneath just incase there was any leakage - I wasn't expecting much other than around the water bottle! But I've just been for the evening sweep and veg delivery and had a look under the liners and most of it is soaked through and the newspaper underneath is wet. I've not put a backing of fleece on the incopads it is just fleece sewn on top. Have I done something wrong in the way I've made them maybe? I wasn't expecting them to be almost sodden within a day

How many pigs have you got in the space? I am very suprised it was soaked within a day! That does not sound right at all!

I am also very surprised, this never happened when i used fleece with any variety of linings. How strange! hopefully someone else will be able to be more helpful.
