Thank you, Yeah I gave that thread a read its really helped me, I've taken the tip about a toy and the blanket smell of Trixie. But so far Amber seems okay, it was only today but they've never been apart for this long before and I would have thought she would be pining already?

It often goes one of two ways, even if piggies are close to each other. Some piggies will go quiet and pine, in extreme cases go off their food, while others get on with surviving, they do grieve but their survival instinct kicks in.

Our first piggies pitch and putt were sisters and unbelievably close, after pitch passed we were worried for Putt how she would cope, but she was absolutely fine, a little quiet for a day or two then it was like nothing had happened, unlike us who were in bits...
Keep a close eye on Amber as I am sure you will and when you feel it is time or she needs company it may be worth at looking to get her a friend.. Cookie lost her sister Treacle last year and while she was coping she was not herself so we bonded her into a trio with 2 rescue piggies.
I know everything is so raw at the moment and the pain of losing her is really bad, you will get through this. You really did everything possible, your little girl was so lucky to have such a caring mum.

Amber and Trixie were close but also quite independent of each other. They would sleep together but if put into a run they would run around separately.

Yeah I have a feeling Amber is going to be okay, I will keep a close eye on her and give her lots of cuddles and strokes just so she doesn't get too lonely.

Thank you for your help and support. I was calm and collected when she was being put so sleep but now we're home everything reminds me of her, changing the hay without her starting of a squeaking battle between them and opening the fridge with no squeaking is the hardest thing ever :(.
Thank you again for you support, it helps hearing other people's story's and preparing myself for what to suspect for Amber :)
