Hey guys,

Fed Appa and Momo some frilly lettuce from m&s. About 5 minutes later I looked over and she was doing that thing cats do when they regurgitate! About 4 or 5 little twitchy heaves. "What you doin' little lady" says I, she stops turns around and checked out a piece of hay before coming over and asking for more.

Was she coughing? Cos she didn't make a sound. Was it a pain reaction? Because she's had a really mellow weekend, no accidents and a nice tidy cage.. contractions? Cos she seemed to forget about them pretty quick!

Also, hi again! Haven't been on in a while because my new job wipes me out. I come home, do pigs .. eat and then sleep. Quite scary tbh.

Cheers guys,
Maya xx

It's called the "heaving hiccups" and nothing you need to worry about. You can find out more in this little article on the Peter Gurney health website here: http://www.oginet.com/pgurney/heavinghiccups.htm

I hope that your job will leave you a bit more time for your life again in the not so far future!

Really scary to witness, I almost had a coronary the first time one of our piggies had heaving hiccups !
They carry on wondering why we're paranoid...little monkies :)

one of mine had these a while back never seen it before and I thought he was choking, after googling it I felt an idiot :))

hahaha.. Thank the lord. I thought I'd induced babies out her with an italien salad! I was all "but he's neutered!" :P Silly maya.
