So i got my piggies, Almond and Filbert at the local pet shelter. Because they were born there, they were not used to having a big variety of fruit and vegie in their diet (sadly). The only thing they will eat is their pellets, hay, romaine lettuce, fresh grass and clover. i can't get them to eat any other items. any idea's of how to introduce foods?

dont give up keep trying

my Terra wouldn't try anything for a while. Just keep offering veggies in small amounts. Eventually they will nibble on something. Red bell peppers are a favorite of his and a good source of vitamin C. I tried oranges first but oranges can cause sores to develop around their mouths so twice a week at the most.

Thanks, ill try.

Piggies can be very fussy and will quickly stick to their favourite foods. Mine would only eat romaine lettuce and cucumber so I stopped giving them romaine and only gave it once a week. Now they will eat more vegetables and herbs.
