Hi :). I have been giving my Guinea’s 3 TBSP in bowl of pellets in the morning, hay throughout the day and a cup of veges around supper time. They will only eat carrots and lettuce (carrots I only give match stick and not only a couple times a week). The bowl will have celery, cucumber, red pepper, green pepper, strawberry (we tried once) all neatly cut at the bottom of the bowl.

My Guinea’s were purchased at a pet store. One is 4/5 months. Daisy I think still young but much bigger than Milly.

Any suggestions. We feed them a spring mix.
Veges something they grow into?

They will learn what is safe to eat eventually. Try them with a new type of veg multiple times before moving onto something else.
This guide gives details of all the veggies which are safe for them. You do just need to be careful not to feed high sugar (fruit, tomatoes, carrots) and high calcium (parsley, kale, spinach) often - once per week is enough.
The issue with pet store piggies is that they are often not fed a variety of veg so don’t have the opportunity to learn from each other.
Edible And Forbidden Veg And Fruit List With Vitamin C Grading

Try giving coriander/cilantro as that is good for vitamin c and herbs are often well liked.

Make sure you don’t overdo the pellets - one tablespoon each per day is plenty - pellets contain a lot of calcium and too much calcium can cause health issues

I would consider removing the carrot entirely and leaving them with a smaller selection. Just cucumber, coriander and pepper.

It may be you just have to be persistent for now and they will (hopefully) eventually cotton on. Sometimes it takes them a while to realise something is edible and quite tasty.

Fruits aren’t necessary for their diet so I’d perhaps hold off for now. It’s like being offered chocolate and a green bean. Quite a lot of people would choose the former 😆

I have cut back to a table spoon each per day. No carrot. They do not eat anything but my spring mix which now I see had a spinach in it. Lol this list below includes it. However I watched a video that said spinach not a good idea. lol so confusing.

Definitely persevere - offering a variety of veggies over time. You need to try one type of veg something like 10 times before they will either decide they like it or you rule it out as one they definitely don’t like

Everyone s list seems to be different.

Please do go by the guides on the forum

The one you’ve linked in on this picture shows a lot of high calcium veggies which are fine to feed but aren’t suitable for regular feeding. Carrot and carrot tops being high in vitamin A and sugars which too much of isn’t good, and tomatoes are too acidic to be fed regularly. We’d certainly not recommend fruit is given daily. There’s a lot of misinformation elsewhere on the internet
