I am not totally sure what its made form but if you go to asda they have a veggie range called Cauldron and the do tofu its really nice. They do one called marinated tofu pieces which are ready to eat and they are YUMMY! and great added to pasta/stir fry etc

where about do they usually keep it ? i was looking for it in Asda the other day and just couldnt find it. Would it be in cheese section ? fridge ? just not sure where it would be found.

Deb x

It's not with the cheese - it is usually where fresh pasta is. In my Asda you go through the fruit & veg then it's just before the fresh meat. It is quite bland, definitely need something with a bit of flavour with it. Need to cut it into quite small strips or cubes otherwise it's like eating rubber! I think you can marinade it too but I'm not sure how successful it is.

Nope, I'm not vegetarian, In fact I eat very little veg. I've recently started eating carrots again tho. I love meat and will never give it up.
I keep my horses on a farm that keeps beef cattle. I'm aware that not all farms are the same but the cows at this farm live the life of riley and couldn't wish for a better life. I really like the cows with their soft eyes and comical ears but will never feel sorry for them and not want to eat meat. I look at them and I know that the only reason they exist is for human consumption.

Wow a busy topic ive just remembered to reply to this post!

The parsley soup site is full of wow vegan recipes - the cakes are great too!

I get called tofu queen here as i eat so much! I like the marinated bits and use plain touf in lots of dishes, the smoked tofu is nice too. Tofu is great high protein and low fat, i use it in stir frys, sliced on pizza, in pasta sauce, basically in a lot of meals. You can even make tofu cheesecake!
I eat lots of beans, lentils, pulses too and veggie mince dishes, asda do their own version of realeat mince in the freezer section, at our asda tofu is by the quorn products. We tend to use tescos and Sainsburys or Waitrose plus independant health shops.

I decided at the age of 6 i was going veggie after seeing lambs in the field then seeing lamb in the supermarket. Id never liked meat and found it hard to chew meat as a child. Mum was very supportive - she was very into nutrituion so made sure i had a well balanced diet. I was veggie for 26 years til i started reading about the dairy industry and had food intollerance tests done - found out I'm intollerant to dairy and very intollerant to egg. I went to a vegan fair and met soem great vegans there who helped me go vegan :)

It does invlove a lot of label reading but i dont find it hard, i eat out a lot too - just need to ring places up in advance, and ive got some good veggie and vegan cafes in Birmingham.

I just take a multi vitamin and mineral tablet once a day that i get form the vegan society £5 for 3 months worth.

Soya milk is fine.
I need to drink it coz it helps me ME/CFS and I might be gluten intoleracne or somethin? What ever it is when you can't have milk and wheat. Alpro Soya milk is the best the light is ok but I couldn't have it with cereal. All the other Alpro stuff is nice and I prefer it to dairy :)

I used to eat soya meat and stuff too thinking about doing it again but docs made me go back to meat coz they said I would get worse. Some reason I think all the vegetarian stuff tastes nicer :D
do you mean, lactose intolerance is milk and dairy and gluten intolerance is wheat

Thank you for the links Alison.
