Well, my two boys have gone off vegs....at first I thought it was cuz my grandma kept buying the same veg over and over but even though I went to buy veg myself and got totally different ones and peppers as this is their favourite they still aren't particularly bothered. They used to wheek until they got their veg and then would scoff it all in one go when I gave them it. But now they still wheek for it and changing the veg has helped as they where leaving half of it and now they eat it all...but not straight away...they eat a few bits then leave it...and go back every now and again until it's gone. It takes them hours.

I know this is probably nothing to worry about as they are eating their pellets and hay..but just wondered if you guys had any thoughts?

They are about 1 year and 3 months.
They get a few hand fulls of pellets in a morning. And they get their veggies in an evening.

Cut down on the pellets a bit, this encourages them to eat more veg. The fresh veg has a lot of good vitamins, fibre and fluid in it that they need. I know some piggy owners don't use pellets at all, I personally try not to feed too many. I now put in about an eggcupful for each piggy, now that the youngest is over six months.

This is just me talking mind, feel free to ignore!

I agree with Sarah. They are old enough now not to need unlimited pellets so no problems with reducing them.
I also take the pellets out at veg time and put the bowl back about an hour later. :)

Okay, thought it might have been a bit too much. Thank you I shall cut them down. :)

some guinea pigs are very picky! We have one sometimes she will eat something once and then she won't eat it again it's hard for us to find extra things on the side for her to eat but she loves timothy hay and her pellets and she gets plenty of that!
