So, Comet's a greedy sod. While I can't prove he's eating 99% of the veggies etc in the cage, I'd still bet on it.

Which means I'm not sure Blitzen gets any. Don't get me wrong, it's not that Comet stops him, just that by the time Blitzen's decided to venture out of hiding, a certain somebody has it all eaten. But I can't hand feed him either - he'll eat it, as he proved with the spinach leaves earlier, but he's not a lap pig and he's a hell of a wriggled, and he'd rather wriggle off than eat.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd be glad for them! It's hardly his fault he's got a greedy guts for a roommate.

Can you separate them with separate portions? We put Godfrey in once place and his little salad portion, then Duncan a distance away with his salad. Take a pig out, feed him, doesn't have to be by hand, then put the salad in the cage with the other pig, if that makes sense? I'm sure there's a solution!

He won't come out for it, that's the trouble. Pretty sure he's convinced it's a ploy to get him to be sociable and we really can't have that.

I may try it though. Comet really doesn't mind the lap/shoulder time. But I can't keep Comet out forever :/ maybe I just need another bowl? But I can't get one at the minute. Siiiigh. Blitzen, you awkward little sod, what am I going to do with you.

My patchy is a food hog too who will eat everything in sight before coco will come out for food. Coco doesnt like to eat her veg when anyone is around so at veg time (she's quite happy to eat pellets and hay in front of everyone....weirdo lol) everyone has to clear out of the room so she can eat or else she will not come out and patchy will eat everything. Coco is also not a lap time fan.

You don't need another bowl. Just plop the veg on the cage floor. Or use a plate (side plate, plastic plate, anything really).
I use a cat food bowl for my veg, but sometimes I just sprinkle it around the cage. The first thing the pigs do anyway is to take all the veg out the bowl.
If he won't come out of hiding, stick a bit of veg at the entrance of his hidey house, and then the rest of the far end of the cage for Comet.
