I thought it was wishful thinking about the beetroot. It does stain so. Never tried mine on beetroot. I take it its boiled and not pickled? Does it turn their wee a funny colour? I was put off beetroot forever when I was at school and my friend brought in beetroot and cream cheese sarnies for lunch and by lunchtime the bread was all pink and soggy and she had beetroot juice mixed with cream cheese running down her chin!:vom::vom: Not touched it since!

That sounds horrific! I can't stand soggy bread :vom:
They get them raw :) I buy them in bunches like this, cut off the leaves and thin root, quarter them and serve like that, they tend to leave the outer skin..or sleep on them in Ivorys case
The only one they seem to change wee colour is Leonard, he also does giant purple banana poops next day too lol everyone else is usually normal unless they've swiped a second portion from their friend!

Haha pink piggie. Just get more beetroot and dye her all over!

I really enjoyed scrolling thriugh these photos. Such a beautiful herd you have there. Do they all live together?

I had 2 pure white piggies at one point who were constantly dying their fur with vegetable juice.
One day I had a piggy with a pink stripe from red pepper while the other had a green stripe from spinach.
Enjoy the beetroot mark - it makes her very stylish

Thankyou! At the moment they're in pairs with Leonard living between them by himself, but in the next month or so I'm having a 7x3ft custom pen being delivered and hoping Shelly, Ivory, Daisy and Delilah (first 5 pictures) will bond together to move in there, unfortunately due to all Brambles health problems but determination to be dominant girl, Shelly really dislikes her, so I think her and Ebony will have to stay as a pair. But I'm really excited to have most of them all living together :D

Oo a 7 x 3 custom made pen sounds great. Two set ups is pretty awesome with that many guinea pigs. Hope it all goes well.

They are all gorgeous.
I have never tried patchy and coco on beetroot, coco is the messiest eater and slops food all over the place so I am afraid of the staining lol.
